This house was built circa 1894. Arthur B. Turner, a bookkeeper for Singer's, was an early resident. He lived there from 1896 until 1908. In 1928, he died as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident in Memphis, Tennessee. A salesman for a wagon factory named John Madden and his wife Eva rented the residence from 1910 until 1912.
