This house was built in 1891 for Ammon, a printer and compositor for the South Bend Times, and Amelia Snyder. They raised five children, Nelson, Wilson, Lucian, Carrol and Leroy. Ammon passed away between 1917 and 1919 and Amelia passed away in 1930. Their daughter Carrol Snyder Pollock inherited the family home.
