This house was probably constructed between 1893 and 1894. William and Amelia Boyd purchased lot 7 and half of lot 8 from Edward Chapin, possibly as an investment. The Gabled-T house was probably constructed between 1893 and 1894. William worked in the lumber business as president of the South Bend Lumber Co. and the Adjustable Shade Hanger Co. He may have also built 431 Lamonte Terrace.
