Harry S. Jennings purchased this piece of land in 1904 and constructed a house on it in 1907. Jennings was born in South Bend in 1880 and married Cora E. Webster in 1899. He was employed by the Indiana and Michigan Electric Company for 25 years. He sold the house in 1911 to William D. Roop.
