Originally constructed by Hammond and Whitcomb circa 1928, this house was rented to Eugene Hardig, an engineer at Studebaker. The property was eventually sold in the 1930s to Ralph Sult, a truck driver. He sold the house in 1949 to Ruth Welsh, who used the house as a rental.
