This Colonial Revival house was built in 1925 by Whitcomb and Keller Corporation salesman Dewey C. Layton, Sr., and his wife, Olive. It was designed by Freyermuth and Mauer. Following Mr. Layton's death, his widow continued to live there with their son, Dewey, Jr., who worked at Bendix as an engineer.
