Ralph Sollitt came to South Bend in 1915 to serve as general manager at his father's newly formed branch of Ralph Sollitt and Sons Construction Co. Mr. Sollitt also served as a director of the First Bank and Trust Company. He and his wife Anita had this house designed and built in 1925 by Thomas R. Bishop Architects from Chicago. They retained ownership of the property until 1965, when it was sold to William J. and Margaret Kieffer.
