Norman Bleuler, assistant cashier at the South Bend National Bank, had this house built in 1913. Upon his death in 1931, the property was sold to Jesse I. Pavey in 1934. Mr. Pavey was the secretary-treasurer of South Bend Lumber Company and the River Park Lumber Company. He was also a future mayor of South Bend.
