This residence was built between 1906 and 1908 for Ryell and Anne Miller. Their children, Bess and Rex, and grandson, Leland, also lived in this American Foursquare house. Ryell was a lawyer, who also dabbled in real estate development; Rex owned a plumbing shop and was widowed by 1910. By 1925, Fred Trumble was listed as the principal resident.
