In 1906, this home was constructed by Emma Lockstidt Schweitzer and her husband Fred. They resided in the house until 1919, when the property was sold to Adolph and Ottille Heller, owner of a South Bend furniture store. They used the house as a rental until 1922, selling it that year to Alonzo and Ada Patchin. Mr. Patchin was the president of the Consumers Service Company.
