Local architect R. K. Schutt designed this house for Ellen (Ella) and John C. Wilhelm by 1906. John was a merchant and tailor who specialized in ladies coats, suits and furs. The Wilhelms raised two children: J. Dean and Marjorie. Ella sold the Queen Anne house to Alfred and Vesta Ehlers by 1949.
