Local real estate developer Leslie Whitcomb built this house in 1900 and sold it in 1901 to Elbert Adams. In 1904, the property was sold to Charles Boyer, a commercial traveler. He lived in the house until 1908, when he sold it to Harry S. Miller, South Bend's first paperboy, and owner of an interior design store.
