This duplex, built as a rental property in 1909, was designed by renowned architects Austin and Shambleau and built by Frank P. Yarsdorfer. It is identical to the duplex at 971-973 Riverside Drive. Lawrence Johnson, owner of Auto Inn, is the earliest recorded tenant of the building. Mr. Yarsdorfer owned the duplex until his death in the mid-1940s.
