Fred Keller purchased this property from Edward Chapin in 1892. In August 1895, Keller began construction of the house, and in 1896, he rented this one to Charlotte and J. Willard Schidler. Schidler operated a hardware and tin shop prior to opening the Willard Furniture Company.
