Kryder House

Built by Hammond and Whitcomb circa 1914, this house was sold to William Kryder, an engineer for South Bend Water Works, in 1915. He lived there until his death in 1938, at which time the house passed to his second wife, Emma. Emma Kryder divided the house into two apartments in the mid-1940s.
