South Bend architect Ernest W. Young designed this award-winning Tudor Revival home for Mary Louise Hine. Her beautiful residence was considered the most artistic building from an architectural standpoint and was given the award by the South Bend Architecture Club. A well-known philanthropist, she lived in the home until her death in 1933 at age 97. It was noted that she was driving her electric car just the Sunday before her passing. The house has been adaptively reused as an attorney's office.
