Mary Taylor Nicar and her husband, Virginius, had this home built as a real estate venture about 1902. When construction was completed, the house was sold to fireman Jacob S. Kerner. He subdivided the land around the house and sold it off in pieces. In 1904, the house was sold to J. Henry Supy.
