This Ernest Young-designed home was built in 1913 for D. Sherman Ellison. Arriving in South Bend in 1908, Mr. Ellison was employed by the South Bend News-Times, eventually leaving to become a salesman and president of the D. Sherman Ellison Insurance Agency.
