Constructed in 1916 by Kathryn Leer-Bosman (the granddaughter of Delmar Leer), this house was purchased by Fred A. Hite later that year. Mr. Hite and his wife Rose resided there until 1939. Fred Hite was the principal of Elder School and was the secretary for the Junior Red Cross.
