Local developers Whitcomb and Keller constructed this house in 1928 for South Bend lawyer Phero Fergus and his wife Stella. They lived at this address until 1934, when it was sold to Howard and Lucille Brotherson. Mr. Brotherson was the secretary-treasurer for F and S Transit Company, Inc.
