Whitcomb and Keller constructed this house in 1948 for Frank E. and Kathleen Allen. Mr. Allen was the superintendent for South Bend schools, while Mrs. Allen taught at Jefferson School. They lived there until 1955, when the house was purchased by William R. Heins, vice president of the Associates Investment Company.
