Plumber Fred Shock and his wife Julia had this house built in 1916. They lived there until 1925, after which the house was rented out. The property was purchased by James O. Haugen in 1937. He was employed as a clerk at Singer Manufacturing Company. In 1944, the property was sold again to Chester Bragg.
