Horace V. Kimble built this house in 1920, and it was sold in 1921 to Eller R. Newland, the owner of E. R. Newland Building Supply Company. Mr. Newland and his wife, Helen, lived in the house until 1922, when the property was purchased by Owen B. Windle, an employee of the Oliver Corporation. Mr. Windle was also active in the Farmers Trust Company.
