This house was built between 1898 and 1899 for Oscar and Eliza Hans. They resided there only for a few years until 1903. By 1906, William and Laura Ritter had purchased the Gable Front house to live in during their retirement. Helen Weber, a music teacher, purchased the house by 1930.
