George H. Uhler, a stenographer for Oliver, purchased lot 32 of Chapin Place by July 1890 and had the house built by 1891. He resided here from 1891 until 1894 when he is listed at 809 Forest. John G. Elliott, a millwright, mechanic, and machinist, and his wife, Emma, purchased this house by 1894. John lived in the home into the late 1920s.
