George and Kate Ware (413 Lamont Terrace) commissioned W.W. Schneider to design this house between 1899 and 1900. George was a co-partner with Albert Sibley in the machine and tool firm, Sibley and Ware. Harry Niles was the first listed resident. Mrs. Ware owned the Classical Revival home until 1922 when she sold it to Anna Paxton, a resident of the house since 1912.
