428-430 Lamonte Terrace

  • Date: before 1899
  • Style: Dutch Colonial
  • District: Chapin Park
  • Rating: Contributing

As shown on the 1899 fire map, a small house, possibly a gabled-ell with a wrap-around porch, once stood on the property. Carpenter Andrew J. Brown, his wife Eleanor, and son Lloyd, resided here by 1898 and until 1906. Mary and Ann DuShane are listed as the owners of the property in 1932 and most likely contracted the remodeling or reconstruction of the house into its current configuration as a Dutch Colonial.
