Albert Kelley purchased land from Mary Anderson in 1889 and had this house built shortly afterwards. Albert worked for Studebaker before starting the South Bend Remedy Company. Ulysses and Mary Manning purchased the home in 1894. Ulysses was also in the medical profession and later became an advertising specialist. Margaret, their daughter, worked for the Red Cross.
