This houses was built in 1904 by Arthur Keltner, a realtor who often ventured into construction. Upon its completion the house was sold to James and Etta Reid. Mr. Reid was a warden at the Indiana State Prison in Michigan City. The Reids did not live in this house, but kept it as a rental property.
