The F.C. Raff House, a.k.a. the Heptagon House, is an outstanding example of the Italian Renaissance Revival. It was designed by Austin and Shambleau and built by Louis A. Hickey of South Bend. Within the brick walls of this home are believed to be architectural elements taken from the Schuyler Colfax house before it was razed to build the Progress Club. There is also a hand carved French limestone living room fireplace that Mr. Raff imported.
