Optician Harry A. Thompson built this house in 1908, and resided here with his wife until 1920, when he sold it to Dr. Samuel Baer and his wife, Naomi. Dr. Baer had his office in the J.M.S. Building in South Bend. They lived in the house until Naomi's death in 1924.
