The Joseph Bartlett House is a cream colored brick house built in 1850. Bartlett wanted to erect something in keeping with his prosperity and in the taste of houses on the East Coast. He chose Jonathan Webb, his brother-in-law and a New Hampshire contractor, to be the architect. His design had a strong New England and Greek Revival influences. A kitchen was added on to the original brick central house in 1926, along with a dining room and two additional upstairs bedrooms. The house remained in the Bartlett Family until 1953.
