Whitcomb and Keller constructed this Stapp-designed house in 1927. It was bought by Earl and Margaret Currise. Earl Currise was employed by the South Bend Tribune as a superintendent of the engraving department. They sold the house in 1944 to Max and Betty Gilbert. Mr. Gilbert worked at Gilbert's Clothing Store.
