This house was designed and built in 1929 by Freyermuth and Mauer. Its first residents were Clarence and Orpha Arnold. Clarence Arnold was the president of the South Bend College of Commerce. Upon Mr. Arnold's death in 1944, the house was sold to James and Mildred Flood.
