In 1927, architects Austin and Shambleau designed this house for Frank and Letta Shambleau. Frank was the brother of architect, N. Roy Shambleau. Frank and Letta Shambleau were both employed by the Studebaker Corp. They sold the house in 1944 to Elbert and June Darnell, owners of Darnell's Drug Store.
