This house was built in 1966 by Emil R. and Virginia Havel. Emil was the secretary and treasurer of Havel Brothers, Inc. They resided there until 1970, when it was sold to James J. Kerr, who sold it in 1974 to Equitable Life Assurance Society. They sold it a month later to Jeremiah and Mary Freeman. Jeremiah was employed by the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Notre Dame.
