George Swygart had 929 W. Washington built in 1892 as a speculative venture. Since land along West Washington Street was expensive, Mr. Swygart built this Gabled-ell/Queen Anne on a long narrow lot. The Porch with its East Lake architectural elements was salvaged from another house.
